Privacy policy

Version 1 · effective October 29, 2026

Short version: the free chances calculator runs in your browser, and what you type into it never reaches our servers. If you create an account, we keep what you save so you can plan on any device. No ad pixels, no screen recording, no tracking cookies. We never sell personal data, never share it for advertising, and never pass student data to colleges or anyone else.

1. Who is responsible

The controller is Appcellent Yazılım Hizmetleri Anonim Şirketi (Appcellent Yazilim Hizmetleri Anonim Sirketi; “Appcellent”, “we”, “us”), Cumhuriyet Mah. Fatih Sultan Mehmet Blv. Cadde 224 A Blok No: 41 A/A, 16210 Nilüfer / Bursa, Türkiye. Email for privacy questions, including from the EU, the EEA and the UK: support@admissionodds.com.

2. Children under 13

AdmissionOdds is not for children under 13, and we comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Sign-up asks for your birth year first. If you are under 13, sign-up stops and we keep nothing you typed.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we delete it. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, email support@admissionodds.com.

3. Students aged 13 to 17

Students aged 13 to 17 can use AdmissionOdds, except in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or the United Kingdom, where accounts start at 18. For students under 18, these rules apply:

  • We use a student’s data only to run the features they choose. Sign-up asks the student to agree to this before we store anything.
  • No advertising of any kind: no ad pixels, no targeted ads, and no selling or sharing of their data. We do not build profiles for marketing.
  • No marketing emails: only the emails a feature needs, such as sign-in codes and the reminders they set.
  • Reminders come by email only, never between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., and not between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays (the student’s local time).
  • Private by default: nothing is shared until the student creates a share link, and they can turn it off at any time.
  • No public profiles, comments or messages between users.
  • If a browser or device tells us that its user is under 18, we treat them as under 18.
  • Students can delete anything they entered, or their whole account, at any time.

4. Parents and guardians

A parent or guardian can follow a student’s plan through a share link the student creates, or by holding the family account that the student profile belongs to.

A parent or guardian of a student under 18 can ask us for a copy of the student’s data, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@admissionodds.com. We first check that the request really comes from the student’s parent or guardian.

If you pay for the plan, Creem handles your payment details (section 8). We never see your full card number.

SupportWhat you write to us, and our repliesAnswer youContract or legitimate interest

We do not make decisions about you by automated means. Your odds are an estimate you ask for about yourself; we do not use them to judge you, and we do not share them with colleges or anyone else.

6. What we never collect or do

  • We never ask for race or ethnicity, religion, health information or a full date of birth (only the birth year).
  • We never ask for a home address, a phone number, a precise location or the name of your high school.
  • Family income and assets stay in your browser: the net cost estimate uses them there and does not send them to us.
  • We never ask for Social Security, student ID or other identity numbers. Sign-in uses one-time codes or Google, so we hold no passwords.
  • No ad pixels, no screen or session recording, no recording of what you type, and no tracking cookies.
  • We never sell or rent personal data, never share it for targeted advertising, and never upload your email address to ad platforms.
  • We never pass student data to colleges, scholarship services, test-prep companies, lenders or anyone else as leads.
  • We do not use your essays or plans to train AI models, and Anthropic may not use them to train its models either (section 7).

7. Essay feedback and AI

When you ask for essay feedback, we send the essay text and its prompt to Anthropic (Anthropic, PBC, United States), which runs the AI model (Claude) and returns the feedback. Anthropic processes this for us under a data processing agreement. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic may not train its models on what we send. It deletes it within 30 days, unless its automated safety systems flag the request under its usage policy, in which case it may keep it for up to 2 years, or the law requires it to keep it longer.

Feedback comes from an AI system, not a person. Our team does not read your essays unless you ask us to (for example in a support email) or we must look into abuse or a legal claim.

Essays often tell personal stories. Include only what you are comfortable sharing, and leave out other people’s private details. You can delete an essay and its feedback at any time.

8. Who processes data for us

These providers process personal data only on our instructions, under data processing agreements:

Emails you send to support@admissionodds.com arrive in our mailbox at Google Workspace (Google LLC, United States).

Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia) sells paid plans as merchant of record. It processes your name, email, billing address and payment details as a separate controller under its own privacy notice, and tells us your plan, its status and dates, payments and refunds.

Google (Google LLC, United States): if you choose to sign in with Google, Google signs you in as a separate controller under its own privacy policy and sends us your email address (and, if set, your name and profile picture).

We disclose data to others only when the law requires it, for example to answer a valid court order, or to protect someone’s safety. If AdmissionOdds is ever sold or merged, we will tell you before your data moves to a new owner, and this policy keeps applying to it.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. Where your data is stored

Your account and planner data are stored by Supabase on servers in the United States (Northern Virginia). Cloudflare, Google and Anthropic are in the United States; the safeguard for each is listed above, and you can ask us for a copy.

We are a company in Türkiye. The GDPR and the UK GDPR apply to us when we serve people in the EU, the EEA and the UK, and we protect your data to that standard wherever it is processed.

10. How long we keep data

  • Account, student profiles, planner data, essays and feedback, share links: until you delete them or your account.
  • After you delete your account, everything is deleted within 30 days, backups included, except the payment records below.
  • If nobody signs in to an account for 24 months, we email you and delete the account 30 days later unless you sign in.
  • Payment records and your agreement to automatic renewal: 3 years after your subscription ends, or longer if tax law requires it. Creem keeps its own records under its privacy notice.
  • Technical request logs at Cloudflare: 7 days. Page counts: 3 months (they contain no personal data).
  • Essay text at Anthropic: deleted within 30 days, except as described in section 7.
  • Template requests: if you only asked for a file, we delete your address after 30 days. If you agreed to our emails, we keep it until you unsubscribe.
  • Emails you send us: up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
  • A sign-up that stops at the age question: nothing is kept.

11. Your rights

You can ask to see your data, get a copy, correct it or delete it, and you can limit or object to how we use it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Most of this you can do yourself: your account settings let you download your data and delete your account, and every email that is not strictly needed has a one-click unsubscribe link. For anything else, email support@admissionodds.com. We answer within 30 days, after checking that the request comes from you (or from the parent or guardian of a student under 18). Using your rights never costs you anything or changes your price.

If we turn down a request, we tell you why, and you can reply to ask us to look at it again.

12. Complaints

Please write to us first at support@admissionodds.com. You can also complain to a regulator:

  • EU and EEA: the data protection authority in your country (list of authorities).
  • United Kingdom: the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
  • United States: the Federal Trade Commission (reportfraud.ftc.gov) or your state attorney general.

13. United States: state privacy laws

Categories we collect: identifiers (email address; IP address for delivery and security), the academic details and plans you choose to enter, the essays you submit, subscription status from Creem, and internet activity limited to request logs and page counts without cookies. We use them only for the purposes above, and any sensitive details you put in an essay only to give you feedback.

We do not sell or share personal information, as California law defines those words.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: we do not track you across other websites, and nothing on our site does. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of selling and sharing, which we never do anyway.

14. Cookies and browser storage

We use no tracking or advertising cookies. The cookie page lists the few strictly necessary items kept in your browser, such as the one that keeps you signed in.

15. Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Our database and its backups are encrypted at rest, and access rules let each account read only its own data and what was shared with it. Sign-in uses one-time codes or Google, so there is no password to steal. Only the people who run AdmissionOdds can reach the systems, and only when needed.

If a breach affects your data, we tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

16. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we email account holders before the change applies. The version and date are at the top of this page.
